Oct. 31, 2011

stepped outside
and a crow swam by
was that a wisp of a cloud,
or a ghost in the sky?
a fitting scene for halloween
they say the veil is thin between
this realm and the next
morning gave me crazy dreams
to explain, ill try my best.

Kidnapped by a heavy set lady
hijacking a garbage compactor truck
bulldozing buildings,
terrorizing the city with an ak-47.
we became friends
while she bucked shots at the police.

---

Family drama,
for my dream to claim
my brother had a different father,
submarine docked on the lawn.

---

with the fam on an foreign ranch,
Attacked by a pack of dogs,
i fight them off with a stick
barbed wire enclosure
muddy like a pig stuy
dude says that is his school
a crocodile crawls out of the muck
and talks with a smile
but way too fat to walk around.
we walk up into a tree house
and a caravan passes by underneath,
families in search of a better market.

I try to explain my last dream
to somebody in this dream.

---

Dreams are things i dont decode
i had them now i let them go,
now to fill my breakfast bowl
and prepare for a day of school.

The house was cool so she slept
closer, kissed me when she left
window sill the sol shine feeds
a lonely avocado seed
breakfast was dos platanos
boiled and mashed into mangu
waiting for my brother Ghost
and off we'll go the wei of Wu.

Cold Air, Crispy Leaves of Color

Second Day of Overcast

movement brown between leaves

cautious young deer passing through

i to it an apple threw

narrow blue peaks between clouds

strange dreams from earlier fade

sun on the cusp of virgo

and libra beyond spica

somewhere behind the eyelid

covers of the clouds above

the air brightened as i type

perhaps a walk would free us

from the bland disappointment

that i dub as yesterday

let us cook a meal and smile

focus on the hands of now

breathe a new begininning

into being like a bridge

built from the blue sky within

a low is a low but so

is what. the landscape of time

is filled with hills of patience

this computer screen is an

excuse and a distraction.

peace.

Word

The word is most potently
spoken loudly
by children smiling
dialing heaven on a rotary
totally free with nobody to oversee
You say I where I say We
summer nights of hide and seek
that heaven sent innocent
laughter of the elohim
echo through jreams and memories
enveloped in our genes
like souls held in vessels
crafted special from fragile cells
bio-molecular vehicles for life itself
we are metaphors of metaphors
the only way to explain
how one met a meta-force
every letter is a barb
on the vane of a feather
wings of poetry bend openly
to navigate the wind vocally
we awoke with the early word
spoken potently

apartmentally trapped

apartmentally trapped
energy sapped
cellphone tapped
causin cancer on the scat
reality is bogus so i focus on the lotus
no photo-techno-logos can capture
the rapture of the lonely opus
open sesame seeds
into seventy seas
heaven is freer than dust
kingdoms crush under
an abundance
of countless mountains
raining down
from a cloudless day
shockwaves shave bedrock
making mountaintops
with pavement and parking lots
apartments rock
when heaven knocks
and it never stops

Mountain

A man named Bobby Sands said

while on hunger strike in prison:

"Our Revenge...

Will be the laughter of our children."

So for those who fought,

suffered, and passed away,

for us to get here,

im going to laugh today.

There's and upside-down mountain

of people whom i carry round.

the base is up in heaven,

the peak is nestled in my crown.

and graciously its weightless,

and full of sacred faces,

i've carried this mountain with me

in every step i've ever taken.

So i look up, and i ask,

"How can I live up to your Greatness?"

They say, "just Love, and Laugh,

let your heart be Naked,

and if you ever feel like falling down,

just remember this,

put your hands up in the air

and you can feel our fingertips..."

Blood Drum

From the white noise of brainwave static

synapses of inspiration sprout and spasm

in spiral motion of notes, tones, and thought patterns,

finger-painting the inside of skull bones

like the domed walls of lost caverns

to the flicker of a cerebellum bonfire

navigating electrical currents from shore to core

of the cosmos in a vessel called a blood drum

Jream Capsule

I turned my closet into a recording booth
by glueing sound absorbent foam on the walls.

It looks cool.

When nobody is around I roll a blanket on the carpet,
drape another on the door to block out the light.

Then I lay down.

The blankets keep out the light,
but neither the walls nor the foam keep out the noise.

From Inside or Outside.

Passing traffic rushes by along the highway of my heart

Children of my thoughts chatter loudly

in my mental parking lot

electrical boxes hum and buzz in the back of

the apartment complex of my brain

television sets flicker in the windows

of buildings across the street

like darkness on the backs of my eyelids

giving way to fleeting images...

the veil is lifted

and i am surrounded by insight.

In the other dimension

I met a spider-boy changeling
who crash landed from outer space,
my best fiend is a reptilian pit bull named smokey,
i am a rabbit man named Adam
who can jump to the moon and back,
I have been a lover to a 10 foot tall
archaeopteryx angel woman,
stood my ground against armies,
died and jumped from body to body,
dialed heaven like a rotary phone
by turning constellations,
rearranging stars with a single thought,
summoned black tornadoes and tidal waves,
taken meteor showers, stole the devil's key,
saved the world from hordes of demons,
climbed the mountain of reality into paradise,
outrun and demolished monsters and murderers,
saw birds fly out from behind light bulbs
warning three days before a death,
sent prayers to the other side of the world instantanious,
held everything in my palm including me.
In the other dimension I've watched how quickly a thought
can unfold into a living world within itself.
