by glueing sound absorbent foam on the walls.
It looks cool.
When nobody is around I roll a blanket on the carpet,
drape another on the door to block out the light.
Then I lay down.
The blankets keep out the light,
but neither the walls nor the foam keep out the noise.
From Inside or Outside.
Passing traffic rushes by along the highway of my heart
Children of my thoughts chatter loudly
in my mental parking lot
electrical boxes hum and buzz in the back of
the apartment complex of my brain
television sets flicker in the windows
of buildings across the street
like darkness on the backs of my eyelids
giving way to fleeting images...
the veil is lifted
and i am surrounded by insight.
