Blood Drum

From the white noise of brainwave static

synapses of inspiration sprout and spasm

in spiral motion of notes, tones, and thought patterns,

finger-painting the inside of skull bones

like the domed walls of lost caverns

to the flicker of a cerebellum bonfire

navigating electrical currents from shore to core

of the cosmos in a vessel called a blood drum

  1. Edgy. I like the finger painting in skull and domed walls analogy. Love to know where you got the inspiration for this one. Music perhaps?

  2. The music of meditation, heard just before entering the trance state. I was trying to capture the moment when a thoughtling becomes a full blown jream.
